Ryan Bolyn, Head Coach
Bolyn, in his fourth season at the helm of Cougar Softball,
provides the USF program with a stable presence in the dugout
and a committed figure off the field.
No stranger to the Cougar athletics program, he played
baseball at USF for three seasons (1997-1999) and golf for one
year (2001). He served as a volunteer assistant golf coach at
USF in 2003 and 2004. Bolyn currently serves as an assistant
golf coach for the men and women's golf team, and a staff
member in the physical education department.
Bolyn and his wife, Melissa
(2000 Graduate), and son, Brody (2) reside in Markle, Ind.
Wayne McCoy,
Assistant Coach
McCoy begins his first season as assistant softball coach.
McCoy primarily will work with the pitchers and catchers but
will bring a new edge to the cougar program.
Wayne has been in fastpitch for
thirteen years nine of those coaching at Ayersville High
School in Defiance, OH. McCoy also coached many travel
ball teams including three years with Team Coca-Cola.
McCoy and
his wife, Anne reside in Defiance with his three children
Wyatt, Andrea and Torey.
Merideth Lechtanski,
Assistant Coach
Lechtanski begins her first season as
an assistant coach switching roles from player to coach.
Lechtanski, who served as Lady Cougars' team captain in 2007, brings her
knowledge to the coaching staff to help with the outfielders.
