MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Kara Schultheis, a senior at Mishawaka Marian High School, signed a letter-of-intent to continue her education and athletic career at University of Saint Francis as part of head coach Ken Nuber's Lady Cougar soccer program.

Schultheis, a defender, is a First Team ISCA All-District 1 selection, First Team All-Northern Indiana Conference pick, and was named Most Outstanding Player and Most Outstanding Defender by the Michiana Soccer Referee's Association. She is a two-time ISCA Academic All-State player and was voted Marian's Team MVP in 2005. Schultheis also was selected to South Bend's All-Metro team for the summer 2006 Sports Fest.
