MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Kara Schultheis,
a senior at Mishawaka Marian High School, signed a
letter-of-intent to continue her education and athletic career
at University of Saint Francis as part of head coach Ken
Nuber's Lady Cougar soccer program.
Schultheis, a defender, is a First
Team ISCA All-District 1 selection, First Team All-Northern
Indiana Conference pick, and was named Most Outstanding Player
and Most Outstanding Defender by the Michiana Soccer Referee's
Association. She is a two-time ISCA Academic All-State player
and was voted Marian's Team MVP in 2005. Schultheis also was
selected to South Bend's All-Metro team for the summer 2006
Sports Fest. She plays
club soccer with Indiana Invaders and previously was a member
of Junior Irish Premier.
