The USF Women's Golf Team brings home first place at Cobblestone and Noble Hawk.


Sophomore Lindsey Eaton hits a bunker shot at the Blackthorn Big Time Challenge hosted by Bethel College.  The Cougars finished 3rd in the event.


Freshman Katie Jones eyes her putt at Blackthorn GC.  Jones shot 165 over the two day tournament giving her a top 10 finish.

Golf News
4/27/08: Lindsey Eaton, Katie Jones, and Hilary Bowman earn All-Region VIII Honors.  The Cougars were sitting in second place after day one at Noble Hawk Golf Links but could not maintain that position as Marian College overtook the Cougars in the final round.  USF finished 3rd place at the Region VIII Championships. 

4/21/08: Lindsey Eaton and Katie Jones led the way to a 3rd place
finish at the Blackthorn Big Time Challenge hosted by Bethel College.
USF edges #25 ranked Marian College with the 3rd place finish.

4/15/08: Led by April Hyerly USF takes 5th place at Noble Hawk Golf Links.  USF had a day 1 tie with #24 ranked Lindenwood and edged #25 ranked Marian by 1.  Day two did not favor the Cougars as Marian and Lindenwood both climbed ahead of USF.

4/8/08: Bowman and Black (88-89) lead the Cougars to a sixth place finish at Brookwood Golf Course in Fort Wayne, IN.  The Tournament was hosted by Tri-State University. 

3/30/08: Hilary Bowman takes sixth place at the Campbellsville University Invitational in Bardstown, KY.  The Cougars finished a
disappointing 5th out of 6 teams.  Due to inclement weather the
second day of the tournament was cancelled.

2/29/08:  The Women's Golf Team moves up one spot in the NAIA polls.  The Cougars are currently receiving votes and are ranked 29th in the nation.

12/10/07:  The USF Women's Golf Program receives national recognition by earning votes in the first ranking of the 2007-2008 year.  The Cougars are currently ranked 30th in the nation.

10/1/07:  Lindsey Eaton and Katie Jones earn All-IMI honors by
leading the Cougars to a record low round of 323 at Broken Arrow GC
in Lockport, IL to end the fall season.  Eaton sets a school record
by carding a 77 in day two. 

9/24/07: Lady Cougars cruise to Defiance Invitational title.

9/18/07: The Lady Cougars capture 2nd tournament title in the history of the program with a strong two day total at Cobblestone and Noble Hawk.  USF takes four of the five all-tournament awards lead by a 2nd place finish from Lindsey Eaton.

9/17/07: USF sets a new school record for team score to finish at the top of the leader board after day 1 at Cobblestone GC.

9/14/07: Struggles in Chicago lead to a 7th place finish.

9/5/07: Cougars finish 2nd in Kalamazoo.  Heyerly leads team with 89.

8/25/07: USF starts the year off with a third place finish at the Tri-State University Invitational.  Bowman finishes 8th to lead the Cougars with an 81.
