  University of Saint Francis sophomore Daniel Carter was a two-time, first- team selection on the 2007 Mid-States Football Association Mideast League team.

  Carter (Indianapolis / Decatur Central H.S.) was a first-team running back and first-team return specialist. Carter was one nine Cougars named first team and 14 selected first team, second team or honorable mention.

   Brian Smiley (Fort Wayne, IN / Harding H.S.) was a first-team selection at offensive tackle for the second season in a row along with teammate Josh Ekovich (LaPorte, IN / New Prairie H.S.) at the other offensive tackle slot. On defense, end Tim Farrell (Fort Wayne, IN / Carroll H.S.) earned a second straight first-team selection. William Knepper (Warsaw, IN / Warsaw H.S.) was a second-team selection, his third consecutive season as either a first or second-team selection.

   First-time selections along with Daniel Carter included Defensive Back Paul Carter (Indianapolis, IN / Northwest H.S.), linebacker Carl Thomas (Fort Wayne, IN / Carroll H.S.), Donavon Evans (Indianapolis / North Central H.S.), wide receiver Bo Thompson (Indianapolis, IN / Ben Davis), defensive end Vincent Price (Indianapolis / Warren Central H.S.), Cody Capps (Indianapolis / Decatur Central H.S.), and quarterback Jeff Wedding (Kendallville, IN / East Noble H.S.). Zack Rainey was a first-team selection at wide receiver in 2006.
