20-10 decision to No. 22 Malone after winning their first
nine game of the season.
“Walsh is the best defense we’ve faced and the best
secondary we’ve faced since we lost to Carroll last
December,” USF coach Kevin Donley reiterated. “We’ve never
faced this quick of a turnaround, so we’ve really got a
challenge in front of us. We need to make every minute count
in practice. We know each other pretty well.”
The Cougars, who have won eight consecutive MSFA Mideast
League titles and are in the NAIA FCS for the eighth
consecutive year in nine seasons, lead a contingent of four
MSFA teams in the NAIA FCS series.
