UPLAND, Ind. -- James Dueling and
Amy Roberts led the Cougars and Lady Cougars respectively in
the season-opening cross country meet of the 2006 season.
Dueling finished seventh with a
time of 29 minutes, six seconds. Roberts finished 14th in her
first intercollegiate competition to lead the Lady Cougars'
efforts in 22 minutes, 28 seconds.
USF's men finished third out of
three teams in the Taylor Invitational. The Taylor squad
opened their season with an overwhelming victory, scoring only
17 points, only two from a perfect score. Bethel finished
second with 48, and USF third with 83.
The Trojans were led by a 1-2-3
punch of Michael Pabody, Braxton Fritz, and Tom Robertson.
Pabody took honors in 26:49 for the 8K course, followed
closely by Fritz in 26:56.
