Dwenger senior Isaac Campbell announced Friday that he will
continue his education and basketball career at the
University of Saint Francis.
Campbell, a 6-foot
guard, averaged 11.5 points per game for the Saints in
2007-08 and was named All-Summit Athletic Conference
second team for the second consecutive season.
The son of Dave and
Patricia Campbell, Isaac also averaged 4.0 assists per
game, 2.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals, shot 38 percent from
3-point range and shot 88 percent from
the free-throw line. He had a 3-1 assist/turnover ratio
with a total of 90 assists. Campbell also had 44 steals. He had a season-high 26 points
against Northrop.
He also helped the Saints to a 30-3
record in 2007-08, a 34-9 mark over the last two seasons
under coach Matt Kostoff. Campbell averaged 10 points
per game as a junior at Dwenger in 2006-07 and shot 44
percent from 3-point range.
“He has a very good
jump shot, a quick jump shot that will be an asset for
us in our league, especially since we lose Mike Steinau,”
USF coach Jeff Rekeweg said. “He is a pretty good
athlete as well as ball handler. He’s not afraid of
physical play and is strong with the ball, maintains
good balance and he’s equally able to slash and dish or
pull up and shoot.”
