COLUMBIA, Ky. --
Campbellsville University rallied from a second-half
10-point deficit to hand the University of Saint Francis its
first loss 65-59 on Saturday afternoon at Lindsey Wilson
College.
CU is ranked 11th in
NAIA Division I and improved to 2-1 with the comeback win.
USF (3-1) trailed 31-30 at halftime.
The Cougars
had three players in double figures led by sophomore Kevin
Sindle who finished with 16 points. Junior Eric Eaton
chipped in with 15 and senior Mike Steinau added 12.
CU outscored the
Cougars 9-2 from the free-throw line for the game. USF was
2-for-4 at the line, CU 11-for-16.
Bubba Long led CU
with 14 points, Devon Jenkins and Clint Graham had 10 points
apiece and Nestor Colmenares scored 11 points and collected
10 rebounds.
USF had 11 steals,
CU 6. Nate Bojrab led USF with four steals.
CU was 27-7 in
2006-07 and advanced to the NAIA D1 Tournament Sweet 16.
