Gay
Martin brings more than 40 years of coaching expertise to
the Cougars' staff as he enters his seventh season on the
University of Saint Francis basketball staff. Martin earned
his undergraduate degree in education from Purdue University
and his masters degree in education from the University of
Saint Francis in 1970.
Prior to joining the USF coaching staff, Martin served as
head basketball coach at Woodlan High School in Woodburn,
IN, and in 21 years Martin's teams piled up 253 wins. His
teams won six Allen County Athletic Conference Tournament
championships, six Allen Country Athletic Conference regular
season championships and three Fort Wayne IHSAA Sectional
titles. Martin is a two-time ACAC Coach-of-the-Year.
Coach Martin resides in Hamilton with his wife Roslyn and is
currently employed by East Allen County Schools where he is
in his 41st year as a teacher. |
