Sandy Skoglund
September 8 – October 26
Presidential Gala

Closer Look
Lecture: October 26, 7:30pm
An exhibition of
works by Sandy Skoglund, one of the America’s foremost
installation artists, will be on display at the University of
Saint Francis.
Skoglund
laboriously constructs tableaux for the camera with her
elaborate, room-sized
installations and resulting Ciba-chrome photographs. Skoglund has participated in over 100 solo
exhibitions and her works are included in 64 major museum
collections. The exhibition is free to the public and will feature one of the artist's
sets entitled Breathing Glass along with the artist’s
photo of the installation. Visitors will have the opportunity to
view the two side-by-side along with additional Skoglund
photographs such as Gathering Paradise. Skoglund will
attend the opening of the exhibition, meet with the public and
deliver a free public lecture as part of the Closer Look Lecture
Series on Friday, October 26th.

Alumni/Faculty Exhibition
November 3 – November 25

This annual
tradition showcases new work by alumni of the School of Creative
Arts at the University of Saint Francis. A wide variety of
mediums will be on display as well as work by the faculty of the
School of Creative Arts.
Contemporary Craft Exhibition
December 1 – January 20
Opening: December 1, 7-9pm
This annual
tradition showcases numerous regional and national artists
working in clay, fiber, glass, metal, stone, and wood. Most of
the pieces exhibited will be affordable, serving as a great
source for holiday shopping.
The
Eclectic Collector: Fort Wayne’s Affinity for the Arts
January
26 – March 2
Opening:
January 26, 6-9pm
This exhibition will showcase
examples from private art collections in the Fort Wayne
community. Works from around the world and from many time
periods will be on display. This promises to be a unique
opportunity to see rare and exotic objects of significance that
have found their way to Fort Wayne.

Annual High School Exhibition
March 9
– March 23
Opening:
March 9, 1-3pm, Awards: 2:00pm
This annual exhibition showcases
the very best by high school students around the region. High
schools from Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio may submit as many as
10 pieces each by their students. Cash awards as well as over
$30,000 in art scholarships are available to eligible students
who participate.

Annual USF Student Art Exhibition & SOCA Student Awards Ceremony
April 5
– April 27
Opening:
April 5, 6-9pm, Weatherhead and Lupke Galleries
Awards
Ceremony, 7:30pm in the North Campus Auditorium
This exhibition displays artwork
and features musical performances by students studying in the School of Creative Arts. More than
1,000 pieces are exhibited throughout the Rolland Art Center and
the University galleries, specifically the Weatherhead and Lupke
Galleries. Performances by the University Jazz Ensemble will
take place in the North Campus Auditorium. The SOCA Student Awards Ceremony honors artists,
musicians and scholars
for high achievement in the arts
and those students who have the
best representation in the exhibition.
Scholarships are awarded.

The Works of Peter Macchiarini and Daniel Macchiarini / Earl
Pardon and Tod Pardon

Opening: Friday, May 2, 6-9pm
In partnership with the Fort Wayne
Museum of Art’s American Modernist Jewelry Exhibition, The
School of Creative Arts will be showcasing the works of Peter
Macchiarini and his son Daniel Macchiarini as well as Earl
Pardon and his son Tod Pardon. This exhibition is curated by
Modernist Jewelry Author and Dealer, Marbeth Schon.

This exhibition spotlights
graduate students who are completing their Masters of Arts
degree at the School of Creative Arts. Each student exhibiting
displays work specifically included in their final thesis.
THE
HOOSIER BIG TOP: The Circus in Indiana and around the World
July 12
– August 22
Opening:
Saturday, July 12, 7-9pm
This exhibition will display
artifacts and memorabilia from the Circus Hall of Fame, in Peru,
Indiana. Costumes, original posters, stage sets, wagons, and
many more unique and historic pieces will be shown during the
exhibition. This exhibition truly will be FUN FOR THE WHOLE
FAMILY. This exhibition is a sponsored event of the Fort Wayne
Three Rivers Festival.
