Making A Gift
To Your University
Originally founded by the
Sisters of Saint Francis of Perpetual Adoration in
1890 as a teachers college, in Lafayette, Indiana,
Saint Francis College was moved to Fort Wayne in
1944. The University of Saint Francis has grown
beyond those origins and has expanded its courses
of study.
Today, the University offers 13
Associate Degree Programs, 38 Bachelor Degree
Programs, 15 Graduate Degree Programs and has
achieved national recognition.
The university has grown from 76
students in 1944 to an institution of more than
2,000 students. The impact of the university on
the region is increasing every year and USF
graduates are taking their places as business and
community leaders in ever-increasing numbers.
In fact, over thirty percent of
the university’s alumni graduated in the last 15
years. Nearly seventy percent of the university’s
alumni live in Indiana and over thirty percent
still live within a 10 mile radius of downtown
Fort Wayne. The University of Saint Francis is a
major force in the region and its impact is
growing every year.
Each year the University of
Saint Francis prepares hundreds of graduates,
personally and professionally, for service in area
businesses and organizations.
Nearly every USF student
receives some form of financial support from the
university and without this assistance many
students would not have the opportunity to obtain
a higher education.
