participate in special games on the basketball court.

The USF Parent Association Parent Advisory Council (PAC)
members will have a canopy tent set up to hand out water
and goodies to incoming freshman parents as well as
answer any questions.

lanyards to freshman attending the Orientation.

3 ~ USF Day at the Fort Wayne
Children's Zoo - The Zoo hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The
cost is $9 for adults and $6 children ages 2 through
14. Children under 2 are free. Price includes one
complimentary ride on one of the following: train, sky
ride, carousel, or river ride. The USF lunch and
activities will be located at the Foellinger Theater
lawn. A complimentary lunch will be served from 11 a.m.
to 1 p.m. (turkey sandwich, chips, fruit, drink, and
cookie). Activities will take place from 11 a.m. to 1
p.m. and will include a children's entertainer,
balloons, face painting, a cheerleading opportunity for
the children, and more. Tickets must be obtained through
the university and cannot be purchased at the zoo. For

Hall of Fame Banquet - Beginning at 6:00 pm located at the
North Campus gymnasium.

are many events planned from alumni athletic events,
Arts & Science tailgate, Alumni tent at the football game,
and a Family Barbeque located at Hutzell Foyer.

29 ~ Safe Trick or Treat - The fourth annual Safe Trick or Treat is on Thursday,
October 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. Children from neighboring elementary
schools can wear costumes and come trick or treat on the University of
Saint Francis campus at the residence halls. The candy provided is all
donated and "safe" for all children. Please come and join us for a fun
time.
November
6 & 7
~ USF Men & Women Basketball
- Opening tournament - Women play Friday at 6 p.m. and
Men play at 8 p.m. Hospitality room open to alumni and
their family throughout the games during the weekend.
The room is located in Hutzell lobby area.
8 ~ "Meet the Cast"
event - The School of Creative Arts presents All
Shook Up, on November 8 at 2:00 p.m. in the North Campus
auditorium (2702 Spring Street). Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10.
Tickets are half price for those who
bring a bag of nonperishable food in support of USF
Feeds the Fort.
Doors will open 30 minutes before show time for general seating.
A special "Meet the Cast" event will take place
immediately after the play until 5:30 p.m. located in
the North Campus' north foyer. Take this opportunity to
talk with cast members and the director as well as Rick
Cartwright, Dean of the School of Creative Arts. To

Habitat for Humanity project sponsored by USF.
Interested in building a house for a good
cause? The USF community is teaming up with Habitat for Humanity to
build a house this winter. The Alumni Association is sponsoring a work
day on Thursday, December 3 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
5 ~ Breakfast with Saint
Nicholas will be held at the North Campus gymnasium from
10 a.m. - 12 noon. Check-in will begin at 9:45 a.m. Cost
of event $8.50 per adult and $4.50 per child (age 12 &
younger).

Ceramics/Prints invitational
Exhibition - Opening reception from 7-9 p.m.
located in the Mimi and Ian Rolland Center for Art and
Visual Communication.
6 ~ Lighting of the Lake, Living Nativity, and
Christmas concert--6 p.m. is the Lighting of the Lake
and Living Nativity. Location of program is outside of
the Pope John Paul II Center around the amphitheater.
At 7 p.m. located at the
North Campus auditorium, the Jazz Ensemble and
University Singers will perform. No charge for admission.

The Alumni Association will be sponsoring a hospitality room
on Friday, December 18. Come and see some great basketball and a
chance to reconnect with alumni in the hospitality room located just
past the entrance to Hutzell. The USF Women's Basketball team
will at home against Aquinas College at 5 p.m. and the USF Men's
Basketball team will play at home against
Walsh University (OH) at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 18.
21 - 23 ~ USF Men's basketball team playing in the
Saint Xavier Basketball Tournament. Times--TBD. The
northwest Indiana alumni and their families and USF
employees are invited to attend and cheer the USF
Cougars to victory! The Alumni Office is planning to
host a meal with the northwest Indiana alumni and the
USF basketball team. Details to follow.
