Future Fort Wayne Alumni Networking Events
The university will host its next Fort Wayne Alumni Networking event on Monday, June 25, 2007 at the Fort Wayne Wizards Stadium. One section of the deck will be reserved for USF alums. Game time is 7 p.m., and the ticket price is $5.00. This is a Dollar Night, s you can purchase hot dogs and drinks for $1.00. If you are interested, please contact the Alumni Office at 260-434-3276.
Future Merrillville Alumni Networking Events
The University of Saint Francis will host a "Back to School"/Merrillville Alumni event on Thursday, July 19, 2007. The event will take place at the Gary Southshore RailCats baseball game with a picnic starting at 5:30 p.m. (CDT) at the U.S. Steel Yard, One Stadium Plaza, Gary, IN 46402. The total price for the evening is $8 per person. If you are interested in purchasing tickets for this event, please contact the Alumni Office at 260-434-3276 or email aroy@sf.edu. Deadline for reserving tickets is Thursday, July 5, 2007. After this deadline, tickets will need to be purchased with the RailCats Box Office at full price. Please take this opportunity to meet Merrillville Alumni and current USF students and their families.
Future Indianapolis Alumni Networking Events
The University of Saint Francis will host a "Back to School"/Indianapolis Alumni event on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at the Fort Harrison State Park Cherry Tree Shelter beginning at noon. Please take this opportunity to meet Indianapolis Alumni and current USF students and their families. Look for additional information on how to sign up for this event in a future postcard.

School of Creative Arts Announces New Academic Program in Arts Administration for Fall 2007
The School of Creative Arts has announced a new graduate certificate in Arts Administration beginning in the Fall of 2007. The university has combined resources from the School of Creative Arts and the Keith Busse School of Business and Entrepreneurial Leadership to train administrative leadership for professional arts organizations.
The program curriculum has been approved by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design, specifically designed to accommodate the schedules of working adults. Students will generally be able to complete all coursework on a part-time, evening basis in approximately two calendar years.
The goal of the program is to graduate students who are immediately qualified to assume specialized, administrative positions with professional arts organizations and most importantly, graduate students who will eventually assume leading management positions in the field.

The School of Creative Arts (SOCA) is an accredited school by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). USF is one of the 260 art schools accredited in the United States and one of only seven in the state of Indiana.
School of Creative Arts Announces New Academic Program in Music Technology for Fall 2007
The School of Creative Arts has announced a new academic program in Music Technology beginning in the Fall of 2007. The new program prepares students for the music business and for music production and technology. The major was designed in collaboration with local music industry leader, Sweetwater Sound, and is the only program of its kind in the Fort Wayne area.
We are please to partner with Sweetwater Sound and other area recording studios in offering internships and job opportunities in this growing field. This is the only program in the country that includes a concentration in Music Technology Sales.

The Graduate Thesis Exhibition The School of Creative Arts at the University of Saint Francis will host the opening of the Graduate Thesis Exhibition in the John P. Weatherhead Gallery in the Mimi and Ian Rolland Art and Visual Communication Center on Leesburg Road on Saturday, July 14, 2006 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.The thesis works of two University of Saint Francis graduate art students will be on display. James Harp will display his ceramic works and Nicole Croy will display her photography thesis.The exhibition will run from June 9 through July 6, 2007. The summer gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. For more information, call 260-434-7591 or visit www.sf.edu/art.
Art in the Morning Program The School of Creative Arts has announced summer art classes for children in grades 1 through 6 in the Art in the Morning Youth Art Program from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday from July 2 through July 27, 2007 at the Mimi and Ian Rolland Center for Art and Visual Communications on Leesburg Road.
Area art teachers and art education majors will instruct children in drawing, painting, printmaking, and ceramics. All art materials and a daily snack will be provided.
The cost is $75 for each child and includes all materials and instructional fees. Scholarships are available to those students who receive the Free and Reduced Lunch Program at their respective schools. Registrations must be received no later than June 22, 2007. Space is limited. USF Day at the Zoo
The fourth annual USF Zoo Day will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo. The Zoo hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the cost is $5 for adults, $2 for children ages 2 to 14, and children under 2 are free. Price includes one complimentary ride on one of the following: train, sky ride, carousel, or river ride. The USF lunch and activities will be located at the Foellinger Theater lawn area. A complimentary lunch will be served from 11:00 am to 1:00pm (hot dog, chips, drink, and cookie). Activities including balloon artists, face painting, and more will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets must be obtained through the University of Saint Francis and cannot be purchased at the zoo. Homecoming Weekend 2007 - "Cougfest"
Homecoming 2007 will begin on Friday, October 12 with a new program called "Classes without Quizzes" from 3 to 5 p.m. This will give the alumni and their spouse a chance to go back into the classroom without quizzes or tuition fees! The Alumni Awards and Athletic Hall of Fame have been combined and will kickoff the Homecoming weekend! The Awards dinner begins at 6 p.m. and will be located at the North Campus (formerly Abundant Life Tabernacle). Alumni will need to make reservations for this banquet.
On Saturday, October 13, 2007, we will have an Alumni Tent at the football game, alumni athletics games throughout the day, and an Alumni Family Barbeque in the afternoon. Look for more information in future publications.
