Alan Nauts

Assistant Professor, Director, Graphic Design Program

Bio

Alan is an award-winning graphic designer, winning numerous Addys and other design awards throughout his nearly 40 years in the industry. He is a 39-year member of the Advertising Federation of Fort Wayne, and currently serves on its Board of Directors. He is a recipient of the Silver Medal Award, the American Advertising Federation’s most respected award, given annually by local AAF chapters to honor members who have made outstanding contributions to advertising and creative excellence. He has also served on the Boards of Directors of the Embassy Theatre Foundation, A.S.K. Inc., and The Positive Resource Connection. He also serves on the Artlink Inc. Board of Directors. Alan is also a proud recipient of the University of Saint Francis’ Distinguished Alumni Award, which he received in 1995.

Alan considers his biggest accomplishment to be his role as a teacher, and his objective is to inspire his students as much as he was inspired by his professors and prepare them for an exciting career in the graphic design industry.
