Free Health Screenings and Information
at University of Saint Francis’ Focus on Health
April 9, 2008, Fort Wayne, Indiana:
The School of Health Sciences at the University of Saint
Francis will host Focus on Health on Friday, April 18
from 7:30 a.m. to noon at Hutzell Athletic Center.
Student, faculty and staff volunteers will collaborate
with invited health professionals from the area to
provide free health screenings and information to the
campus, neighborhood and greater Fort Wayne community.
Student and community health
services will provide health information booths such as
Alcoholics Anonymous or disaster services from the
American Red Cross. Free screenings for vision, hearing
and blood pressure are provided. In addition, there will
be low-cost blood draws for glucose, electrolytes,
lipids, and anemia. New tests available this year are
PSA for prostate and TSH for thyroid.
